Talking Wifi and Cellular Data

Howdy,
I have read through the posts here, but would like to hear a more recent aspect regarding Wifi and/or Cellular data for Internet on the road. What have been your issues with either? How have you solved the issues? Do you use Wifi or Cellular data? What equipment did you install?

I have also subscribed to and read the https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/overview/ information, but I would like to hear from a less technical viewpoint.

Can anyone help?
Thanks
Flower

We tend to stay in CG's with WiFi. In '09 on our cross country trip we chose KOA's with WiFi so I could plan my next days travels. We have always had unlimited data on our phones, but neither is used as a hotspot. Technology has come a long way from then to now, and I wouldn't trust any networks without any added protection if your doing any "personal" business.

I am willing to bet that the number of available networks has grown by leaps and bounds since our trip, We have installed numerous WiFi boosters in customers units and the choice seems to be the WiFi Ranger, as it has a built in firewall. I wouldn't hesitate to get it if I was going to be on the road.

We don't have Net Flix so that's not an issue and since I have a portable dish and DirectV service at home, that's a no brainer.
