Hitch receiver on back of toy hauler

It it possible to weld a hitch receiver or install one somehow on the back of a carbon toy hauler. I see lots of fifth wheels with them. Just looking to tow sea doos. Is the rear built strong enough to tow

I would suppose anything is possible with the right amount of $$. Before you start on this project, you might want to check for any restrictions. Some states require a commercial drivers license/endorsements, then there's the over all length limit.

I'm not sure if Alberta allows double towing with a travel trailer - you might want to check this out. 5th wheels are ok but trailers maybe not. I believe the maximum length of a double towed combination in AB is 20m and you should also make sure that you don't need a special license endorsement if your GVWR is in excess of 10000lbs.

Will your TV be able to handle the extra weight?

Yeah I pull with a one ton so weight shouldn't be an issue. But it would be quite the length to get used to.

Looks like Jodrey gave you all the info you need. 20 meters or 65.5 feet will be part of the equation, your fabricator will be another part and your tow vehicle will be another deciding part. You haven't told us what unit you tow nor what you tow it with, just that it is a Carbon. Most of us on this site are not qualified to fabricate and weld a hitch that would be safe enough to put on the highway so that would be left to a welding/fabricating shop. Let us know what you do.

"Is the rear built strong enough to tow?"
I'd say it's a crap shoot. I doubt if the frame fabricator has done a Finite Element Analysis with the goal of stressing the rear of the frame simulating towing xxx pounds.
That said, towing a couple jet skis might/should be no problem. Maybe look at a Curt brand width adjustable receiver.

It's the carbon 32 TT. It's 36 feet long and I rent a one ton when ever I tow. Thought I could tow it with my half ton when I bought it cause it was only 8500 dry. But it was way too sketchy after loading up the TT a little so now I rent a one ton when ever I go.

All the answers you need are on page 10 of link Jodrey provided you. It would be a firm NO to haul a trailer behind a travel trailer.

Sorry man.....

CarKath is, of course, on the money. I don't know what was in my head, but I visualized the Carbon as a 5th wheel and I know darned well it's not. That in and of itself takes it out of the equation.....
