Traveling with Strongarms

Easy question....

Just installed a set of JTs Strongarms on my Laredo (well....just the fronts so far but getting there).

When traveling with them, do I tighten down the T-wrenches in the up position or leave them loose? Any danger of them vibrating out?

Phil

Not sure about JT Strongarms but with my Steadyfast system the instructions say to tighten them down while traveling. I forget now and then but I am getting better at it. No vibrating out with the Steadyfast.

Think it saves wear and tear on the system. RV suspension systems and our roads are not the smoothest.

I haven't been tightening my Steadyfast struts for the road as it saves a step, but the reminder that instructions say to do it might change my errant ways.
The most important thing is to remember to loosen for extending or retracting the landing gear and stabilizers. BTW, I have never installed my rear Steadyfast as it works so well with just the fronts.

No don't tighten in the up position, I have found that after the initial use the threaded end once tightened sort of peened itself or mushroomed if you will making difficult to remove fully if you wanted to. I have several thousand miles on mine now.

Thanks for the responses....hate to lose parts on my first trip with them.

I'm very impressed with the difference with just the front four braces....might be a while before the rear ones get installed
