Passpot 2670BH
I am getting my first TT Thursday, a passport 2670BH. I had read a lot about the Passports, but have not found anyone that owns the 2670BH model. The dealer most likely will try to sell me an extended guarantee. I need help deciding. Is this a good travel trailer, no too much maintenance? Should I buy the extended warranty or should I just put the money aside for maintenance? Any pros and cons of this TT? What should I look for when I go to pick the travel trailer? Any answer will be appropriated.

Extended warranties are a subject that gets lots of responses from both sides. Depending on who the carrier is and what exclusions there are an extended warranty can be a good thing. Figure your fridge: if it goes out after the manufacturers warranty yet within extended warranty coverage you could save thousands.
Lots of things to consider with extended plans. Deductible, exclusions, requirements and length of coverage. In the end I think its a personal choice. I never bought one, and sold my last trailer after 13 1/2 yrs of trouble free ownership. I did get an extended warranty when I bought my current trailer as I was retired (fixed income) and not working.
There is a PDI checklist that you can print out and take to your walkthrough. Tell your dealer that you intend to spend as much time as needed to complete YOUR check. You may find some minor issue that doesn't affect the ability to camp, and my advise is to have them noted and then take your unit and enjoy!! These things are built by humans, inspected by humans and even a seasoned pro may miss something.

Thank you for the advice. I did find the PDI checklist, and I will send it to the dealer to let them know of my expectations.

The dealer should perform a PDI prior to your appointment. Where I work now, we do them as soon as possible after factory delivery so we can identify, get authorization and repair defects in a timely fashion. Take the list with you and check items off as you go, that way you won't miss anything.

Have fun in your new rig. I bought an extended warranty with my first TT and never needed it. It's whatever makes you comfortable.

I decided not to take the extended warranty. I will just put the money aside for maintenance. Thanks for the advice.
