Surge Protector/Voltage Monitor installation help

I bought a Progressive Industries hard wired voltage monitor. I installed their 30 amp version in my last camper. The old TT had a hard wired power cord that came out thru the exterior wall. It was wired to a junction box in a cubby hole beneath the fridge, behind an access panel. I installed it right there in place of the junction box. In my new 50 amp Cougar Fifth Wheel the power cord is a plug in on the back of the RV. The outside connector/plug seems to be below floor level. I don't see where power comes into the RV. I pulled out the converter/charger and the main power feed is coming up thru the floor. So it appears the the power is a direct connection between the connector at the back and the converter with the wire running under the floor. If this true I guess I have to cut the main feed behind the converter to install the voltage monitor. Anyone have any experience doing this. Am I missing something?

I don,t have your rv but have installed a progressive system. Behind your electrical breaker box. Your electrical wires come in. What I did I bought 6 gage 4 conductor extension cord 4' long. Disconnect my breaker box. Wire my new 6 gage cord to the breaker pannel. The other end to the output of your progressive. Take your main incoming electrical wires. And wire to the input of your progressive. All done except progressive needs to be mounted.

Thats what I have in mind unless I can find a junction box before the converter.

All done! When I said converter I meant breaker panel. The 6 gauge wire is pretty thick to work with in such a confined space so it was a bit of a PIA. But all is good!

LOL 30 years ago I was an electronics technician in the USAF. I'm not a highly skilled handy man but I manage.

Nice work; clean install in a very intuitive spot.
