313 RLI Modification

Took delivery on this trailer back in February and immediately took note of the stamped steel wine rack, about three foot long and positioned between two wall mount cabinets. I suspect this rack is shared by several Keystone models. Anyway the sales literature displays long stem glasses sitting on top with bottles resting horizontally through the perforated sides. Having no confidence that either wine or glasses would survive the first speed bump as we exited the RV park, we took out the eight screws holding the rack in place and re mounted it up side down to form a deep shelf. After six thousand miles and a season of use we have found our new shelf a natural place to store writing supplies, cereal boxes, flashlight ETC.

The job is not done without pictures. It sounds as if it works well for you but very hard to imagine how it looks. You are right, bottles and glasses would not ride well in an open rack even for short distances. JM2˘, Hank
