Slide out stabilizers?

Hello everyone!
We just picked up our new 2014 303 Springdale!
I do have one question...does everyone use stabilizers for the slideouts? Our dealer said some people do and others are against them...any thoughts?

Trevor -
The vast majority of people do not use slide out stabilizers probably because they are not needed. The slides are designed and constructed so that they are able to support the additional weight when extended and unless you plan on jumping up and down in the slide area, there is little, if any movement.
Another reason for not installing them is that some claim they prevent the slide from flexing and therefore places unnecessary stress on the slide out and the slide mechanism.

As long ase trailer itself is supported then the slides should be fine.

Do not use them, the units are designed to be used w/o supports.

Only exception to that rule is a very old trailer. We saw one that had been in the park for 5 years and the slide out was hanging at least 4-6 inches down. I think they will have to scrap out the trailer to move it. That slide out isn't going back in without a lot of help.
