Maiden voyage!!!

Took the new Keystone Montana 3121 out on it's maiden voyage for the last three days, but stayed close to home base just incase something went horrible wrong with my shake down mission. Pleased to say only a couple of minor problems that will require warranty work from the dealer. The two recliner chairs need to be realigned as they were anchored a bit to close to the wall and rub against it every time you try to recline. Not good and will wear on the chair and the wall so they need adjustment. One window shade in the bedroom right behind the headboard will not stay shut, problem when your bedroom window faces East. I really don't want to get up with the chickens any more so that needs adjustment also. The big things like furnace, A/C, plumping, frig, TV, fireplace, awnings and slides all worked well and will not require any work (at this time). Oh that auto leveling system is the cats meow I'm telling you, love it! I was pleasantly surprised and exceedingly pleased with the workman ship of the Keystone product and the work of the dealer to make sure things were in working order, at least the big stuff!! No leaks, which I really expected to find a few. Very pleased!! Now if this virus thing would go away we could get along with our mission to explore this great land called the United States of America! So much to see and so little time to see it all. We are going to give it our best college try however and complete as much as humanly possible over the next few years. Look out USA here we come.

Sounds pretty nifty. I really think there are more people out in campers now that prior to the plague. A lot of people are not able to do stuff that is social so camping seems like a great alternative. Glad you didn't have any major issues. Camp safe!

Congrats on your new purchase and your first successful trip.

I do suggest you try to figure out that blind yourself and fix it yourself. It's only a matter of time till all the others will fail in the same way. And you won't be able to run it back to the dealership for warranty work. 90% of the issues that went wrong with my Montana High Country in the first year fell under warranty issues. Of the 90%, probably 90% if fixed myself. The remaining % were items that were simply too much or too big or required space, time, and the right tools to fix, of which I did not have. I promise you, more issues will arrive. It's time to invest in a screw driver and a pair of pliers.

Other than that, again, congrats on your new purchase. I hope you have many joyful and memorable experiences with your new camper.

Glad you had a good trip. In the scheme of things you didn't have much wrong and definitely none of the "ruin my day" kinds of things.

As far as getting out and seeing the country - plan ahead. Depending on what you want to do and where still lots of things to see and do unless they are things like Disneyland and the like. I will say that on this trip the number/types of folks living in their RVs is stunning. Remote working, home schooling etc. Pretty crazy compared to years gone by. So my 2 cents is to get out there (it's still warm in the South), hit the road and have a blast....we only get one go round!

Awesome.

I think the auto-level is just about my favorite feature on our Cougar. I'm thrilled that we get some of the "big boy" toys on a mid-level unit.

Glad no real issues. We use ours seasonally, and while general RV construction is crap, we too are very pleased with the quality.

That’s great we also purchased a new cougar 29rks and had very little issues with it. That makes it nice for sure. Yep and agree on this virus stuff it needs to go away for sure. It has cut our camping short also.
