The New Keystone RV Website

I'm not sure how many have visited the Keystone RV website recently, but this weekend was the rollout of their new website layout. New pictures, new graphics, new ways to access the floorplans and pictures. If you haven't been there recently, it may be a nice way to reacquaint yourself with the Keystone website.

If you aren't sure, the website is: http://keystonerv.com/

They have a lot of work to do to make it work right. Did nothing but stall with every selection

Part of the stalling may be that your computer has to download the complete webpage (since they all are new). I also noticed a slower than normal download with the pages I opened. There is a lot that I'd suggest they update or enhance. One of the limitations I see on the new site is that the pictures of each individual model seem to have gone away and in place of them, there seems to be a representation of the brand by only a few "general photos" of some of the models in the line. You can no longer go to an individual model in a lineup and click an icon to see pictures of that model.

I'm sure (at least I hope) that Keystone will be working on making the site better. I just wanted everyone to know that they had updated the company website.

It’s pretty, but their “scroll everything” layout bites the big one.

Unless the public gives them feedback, Keystone will probably think that their new layout is "just right" for us. If you've visited and have thoughts about the layout (good and bad) post them here and I will contact Keystone with a compiled list of suggestions/comments from our members.

We are (I believe) the biggest group of people interested in Keystone products. I don't want to say "Keystone owners" because a number of our members don't yet own an RV and/or don't own a Keystone.

Post your thoughts, I'll convey them to Keystone.

Tell them to ditch the world's largest pictures at the top of their pages – it's pushing all the useful information way south. Give us a good-sized thumbnail gallery (labelled with model numbers) of floor plans above the scrolling floor plan section.

And show them your new "Super Moderator" badge to let them know you mean business.

John-
For starters, I would like to see these improvements:

1) Reduce the size of the photos - they are almost overwhelming and; as previously mentioned, take up too much space which could be better used.

2) The FAQ section is sadly lacking in FAQ's. It has listed only 2 questions: one of how to determine towing capacity and another on formaldehyde. Surely, they can do better than this.

3) Owner's Manuals. Why not have a link to older Owner's Manuals? They list just the latest ones and a lot of folks are looking for an older version.

4) Customer Service section: In addition to listing their toll free number, they should also include an email address along with it.

I'll no doubt have some more later but these come to mind now.

If you're a civilian looking at the military, seeing a general means not much more than seeing a private. So, to Keystone, being a moderator, a member or a guest on this forum most likely carries the same respect (or lack of). So, I'd bet that when I contact Keystone with suggestions from the forum, it will suffice to just say that I'm a member who compiled the comments

Thanks for the "ego boost" though I'm sure that with an extra buck fifty and the "super moderator badge" I can get a cup of coffee most places.......

Its not bad, lots of glitches in some of the coding still. They need to make it as easy to use and as user friendly as the Keystone RV forum site.
