Dometic Fuse Questions

A couple of weeks ago this link was posted for a Dometic fridge thermofuse replacement. It was mentioned that there was possibly more than one style.

I asked Dometic what the appropriate replacement for my DM2872 would be and was told the following:

Part number 3850870019 is no longer available. It changes to part number 38514090155 that is a combo.

It appears that the new part number is the thermofuse, along with the wire leads and the inline thermal fuse and mounting bracket. Since I don't need these other components, does anyone know:

1. Is there a necessary reason to change out everything?
2. If not, is the original part linked suitable for use in my fridge?

I have to use this reset quite often, as the fridge often shuts down when traveling long hours, in hot temps, on propane. Lately I've noticed that while I can still reset the thermal fuse using the 'button', it seems to not 'pop' out any longer, which I'm thinking may mean it is not operating correctly.

IMO there is no reason to replace the inline thermofuse unless it has failed... The resettable one on the stack can, over time get weak and trip needlessly thus shutting down the fridge..

A new thermofuse of the correct temp rating with resettable button for the stack is the way I would go...

Thank you Chuck. I wasn't sure if the 'kit' supplied resettable fuse was the same fuse as the one I linked in my original post. If I recall, that post from a few weeks ago (I'd need to track it down) seemed to indicate that there might be more than one model of resettable fuse.
