Sewer Connection Question

So new to the world of TT I have only completed one trip for a short weekend to a COE campground with only a dump station. So in a couple of weeks we are heading out to a State park with a sewer connection.
My question is what are best practices for connection and usage

Do I empty tanks everyday ?
Do I let free flow ?

We empty when it is full or we are leaving the campsite. Never let it free flow! That just causes more problems with buildup of toilet paper.

Black tank, I never let freeflow and empty when it gets about 1/2 way full. If there are a lot of showers/washing then I might let the gray tank freeflow but I make sure that it is 1/2-3/4 full when I am emptying the black tank. Then empty the black and gray in that order.

Best to think of the black tank like the toilet bowl itself. More water moves the solids better than less water. Leaving the tank open to drain "free flow" only causes the water to drain and the solids more likely to remain in the tank. When you think you need to drain the black tank, use the foot flush to fill the tank with as much water as possible then drain. When you're ready to leave, use your black tank sprayer (if you have one) or use the foot flush to fill the tank then empty. Repeat the process at least one more time. Just like the toilet, a second flush is sometimes needed. In this case more water is a cleaner flush and fewer problems in the future.

NEVER LEAVE THE BLACK VALVE OPEN!!!!
Dump when you leave or when there's 2/3-3/4 of a tank.
You'll quickly find though that the sensors are fairly useless for any accurate information other than pretty red lights.
The toilet will give a distinctive burp/gurgle when the tank is nearing full so listen when flushing.
You'll be in ankle deep water in the shower when that grey tank is full, usually right in the middle of the wife's shower. The best procedure is rinse, shut off shower head, lather & rinse not leaving the water constantly running.
The kitchen/galley should last til you dump the black unless while doing dishes the water is left constantly running.
Also NEVER store sewer hose or any related fittings near your drinking water hoses or fittings. Use a dedicated hose for your black tank flush if equipped.
Using a clear fitting, 45 degree or straight, on the RV end of your hose is beneficial when draining & flushing the tank.
This is the sh###yest part (pun intended) of rv ownership, but a necessary part.
