Keystone introduces blade air flow system
Hype or actual technical advance? Keystone comes up with a new air flow system. Seems it isn't available in the aftermarket at this point:

Interesting. I’ll be watching for it to arrive and I will test it out.

Looked at their list of a keystone products it will be used on.. didn’t see Montana or Alpine listed... interesting
Hope it works better than their KeyTV innovation

Yep, KeyTV has been a disaster...
My guess about why Montana, Alpine and Montana High Country weren't on the list is because they use the "Whisper Air" or "Quiet Air" systems (with above the ceiling air returns, rooftop mounted unit and a different air distribution system...
I'd suspect that this "new feature" is a "designed for each floorplan" system which reduces the size of the ducting run as it gets further from the main unit and eliminates the "butt joint size changes" at each of the "Y"/"T" joints...
I wonder how they incorporated the "Racetrack" system with the "tapered size changes" ??? Seems to me that going from a large duct to a small duct, then running that small duct into a larger duct would be counterproductive to the concept of the "Racetrack"...
I'd like to see the entire design concept but I'd suppose that won't come from Keystone, rather from "owner problems after the system is in the field"

As with any new "innovation" or product "time will tell"......

The Avalanche also has the whisper quiet system and it is really nice to be able to carry on a conversation or watch TV with the a/c on...

Only one in my cabin with me is the missus and since we have been married awhile, don't really feel the need to talk. I keep my cabin A/C in QUICK COOL mode to drown out the little yapping dogs anyway and rely on my sound bar to hear the TV? What is that honey? Sorry, can't hear you!

John mentioned one of the first things that came to my mind....the innovation of KeyTV - what a mess. And, IMO, In Command falls right in there with them. There is a reason they are doing this in those product lines and I'm not so sure it's to improve the customer experience.....maybe the bottom line??

If you are a design engineer working for Keystone, you probably have to come up with some "innovation" in order to keep working as a design engineer for Keystone. DirectTV did the same thing by "improving" their user menus to where they were almost unworkable. Dish TV did the same thing when they changed the voice remote to GOOOOOOGLE and now that feature is semi-useless. Dish put in a thing where when you turn off the TV/receiver, it doesn't go off till you hit another button to tell the remote you were sure you wanted to turn stuff off.... the list goes on. Why? Design Engineers need to keep their jobs and make improvements that are actually steps backwards. (RANT OVER).

George, it's just job security. That's why the tax codes change every year, why drug companies are always coming out with new treatments and not cures, and everyone offers a solution for a problem that you didn't even realize you have.
