Flip Jack is WONDERFUL for TT's

As you all know there are a million gadgets out there, some few do make RVing easier, many might make RVing easier, and many just lighten your wallet.

I finally got tired of putting blocks under my electric tongue jack on our Outback so it would lift high enough for me to install my Equalizer bars without my lifting. No snap bars for me thanks. I bought a Flip Jack by fastwaytrailer.com. It was simple to install (drill one 1/2" hole), and WORKS GREAT!!!! I hope whoever invented it makes a mint. Darn thing folds up out of the way automatically, but when extending tongue jack it swings down and gives me lots of extra height. Mines the 6" model.

Wow, wish I'd bought this years ago, what a great product, and no, I do not work for them.

i have seen these, and i was a little nervous on spending the dough on it. my only concern is how flat will it lay, if you have to slam the front down on the ground to level off? twice now, in the last few trips, i need almost everything that the jack had to get the nose down far enough to level.

I had one installed when I bought the TT and it works great. That is 6" less cranking I have to do and it tucks away nicely.

If you need to get nose real low, you fold the FlipJack up and put one 2x4 under it so foot doesn't bend. So it will be, at minimum, your jack post when retracted, plus 1.5" for 2x4, plus about 1/8" of Flip Jack steel side. Hope that helps.

I see they have several models, all mildly priced and then one thats "electric" that $300!!
Whats the difference? Electric can't mean "just for electric jacks", right?

Haven't seen the electric one.

There are two heights, and two diameters as I recall. So first measure diameter of OUTER tube, easiest above frame. Little ones are 2", bigger are 2 1/4". Once you know diameter, choose height. Their web site gives the measurements you need to make to decide.

I should have dug deeper. Looks like its a regular one with an electric jack to replace the crank jack.

I bought just the foot. The new Outback didn't come with anything on the bottom of the manual jack and they had a 2X4 under the bottom pipe. I asked the salesman if it came with some sort of foot and he said that was extra. We went in to look at the feet and he pointed out the flip and I was sold. I like it.

Thanks for pointing out the 2X4 trick for going lower.
