Battery wont hold charge

2015 Keystone passport battery 15 months old. When charging there is 12.12V across positive and negative terminals as soon as charger is discontinued battery discharges quickly. After two hours voltage in down to 8V. Only two items running a clock and a CO detector. Do I have a bad battery or electrical problems draining the battery.

Unfortunately, it sounds like a bad battery. You can take it to an Autozone for a load test. Does it have water in each cell?

Thanks, yes each cell has water. Will take it to auto zone tomorrow and get the battery checked.

After taking the time to remove the battery, I wouldn't put it back in. Just get a good deep cycle and be done.
