The amount of attention we are giving the issue of which way to fold the grab handle is, obviously, a result of the ABSENCE of other, more serious problems with our Keystone RVs. Just sayin'

It's winter. What else do we have to talk about?

Re: Exterior Grab Handle position during towing

I just purchased a new Alpine and on the way home the Stow and Go handle was blown out of the stow position against the door into the open position.
I was not going over 55MPH. I have had other RV's and have never had this happen.
I spoke to ITC who make the Stow and Go and the dealer and neither had heard of this happening. I dissembled it and see nothing wrong other than it does not seat very deep when in the stow position as compared to in the open position. Looks like a poor design.
Has anyone else seen this?

I have not seen this issue previously.

Forward over the door after it has come open on bad roads a couple of times.
It caused a wear mark on the door but at least stopped it fully opening when coming to a stop so this may explain the black marks.
I've since packed out the jam plate until it the door latch just misses it.
Cheers

Same here with mine.
I do need new black foam on the handle.
6 years old has taken its toll on that.
