The heater fan is at the back of the unit. The unit itself is encased in that metal box. If yours has just the two round holes on the outside wall, then the unit will pull out of the case from the inside of the trailer. Once you turn off the propane and disconnect the line, there should be a single screw behind the front plate. Remove it and the whole heater should slide out. You may or may not have to cut wires, on most I've serviced the wires are long enough to get the unit out.
If your outside wall has the rectangular plate, then the heater comes out from there. Same rules-turn off the propane and disconnect.
Take your time, and make sure when you put it back together that the two exhaust holes are lined up.
