The KOA is very nice, little expensive like all KOA, but very nice. I would not recommend the Top O' The Caves campground. I should qualify that, as long as you get a full hookup and use your own bath, it's a pretty campground, just their facilities are terrible. The "mini-golf" was something I could built at home. Also have heard the state park is very nice, have never stayed there though. Check out www.campgroundreviews.com.

State park is nice. But very big and over crowded at times.

i have camped at the HOCKING HILLS STATE PARK CAMPGROUND,for 25 years.you need reservations unless you use one of 22 walk up sites.during the week after labor day you should be good.they dont have water for each site so you fill up when you get there.much to see, just got back from 10 days there.golden buckeye card will get you half off during week(60)and over.top of the caves shower facilities are bad!!!thats how we found the state park 25 years ago,we had reservations for top of caves pulled in ,used restroom and drove back out .sounds like nothings changed.
