Talking M/C Mishap

Haven't been here in a while. And now I have a new story. It is by the grace of God that I am still alive.

On May 4th, I was riding my motorcycle when a pickup going the opposite direction turned left in front of me. I was in the hospital for 3 1/2 months. Off work for 5 1/2 months. Multiple fractures and no usable limbs. Had to have surgery and hardware put in my arm.

They did a CT scan in the ER, and one of the things they found were three broken ribs. I told them about the spill I had taken in the driveway described in the OP.

Still on the mend. Walking is difficult and especially stairs. Hopefully I'll be good enough to get a new motorcycle later this spring.

Didn't get any camping in last year obviously. Hoping that 2014 will be a better year.

Now I'm helping to teach motorcycle awareness in Driver's Ed. training to kids getting their automobile license.

Wow ! Many of us on this forum are motorcycle riders, I just took a rider safety course a couple of months ago even though I have been riding for nearly 40 years. You can never be too cautious... and even then you never know who is going pull out in front of you. Thank god you survived. Get well soon.
