Sun shade

Just added a sun screen to my awning....it was very easy to put together and cost less than $35.00. Bought a 6 x 15 package of sun shade gardening material at Lowes for $25.00, 2 packages of grommets for $8.00, and 5 large (2") heavy washers ( for weights) $1.50. Already had the awning attachments for the outdoor lighting so no expense there .

Brilliant! I've been pondering the exact same project.

After the crappy vinyl awning that came with my kids' playset wore out I replaced it with that same fabric. It's now four years later that fabric still looks new.

Where did you get grommets? Lowes?

Grommet for the material are located with the shade material , they ware made specifically for that material.
