Canada Campsite Question

Planning first trip to BC this summer and have a question about the Discover Camping reservation system.

I am looking at campsites described as:

"Allowed Equipment" = "...Lg Trailer/Motorhome 18-32ft..."
"Site Length" = "20"
"Site Width" = "10"

I don't understand why they indicate a 32ft Lg Trailer can fit in a site only 20 feet long.

Can someone who has used the system help me understand the site descriptions? (I'd call Discover Camping, but they are closed at this time.)

Thanks

Although I live in BC, I seldom use the Reservation System of our provincial parks. Discover Camping does have this toll free number (1-800-689-9025) but it looks like you have already tried unsuccessfully to contact them.

I can't explain this specific site description ...it certainly does not make much sense.

If you have any specific campsites or parks that you plan on visiting, send me a PM and I may be able to give you information about them.

On another note which may explain the confusion..... our province is currently heading into a provincial election very soon which may explain how you are able to fit a 32 ft trailer into a 20 ft site. Politicians on both sides of the border are good at the art of deception and pulling rabbits out of hats.

HMMMMM Festus2, are you implying that Canadian politicians may resemble US politicians??? I guess some things never change no matter where in the world you go.

As for the campsite it seems the size may be described in meters. Campsite length 20 width 10 would then be about: length 66' width 33'. trailer size 18-32' would then fit with room for the slide to open and TV to park in front.

Just thinking out loud

I would never suggest or imply such a thing! Feet or meters? Strange you should mention this. We have been on the metric system for many years and yet the site dimensions for our BC Provincial Parks are given in feet. Go figure.
