One "Oh, by-the-way", maybe 2. Just after you cross from Ia. to Ne. you will (about 10 miles),
see some signs for Arbor Lodge St Historical Park. Where Arbor Day got it's start
When you get into Wy. and High Winds are forecast, (it's always windy there),
they mean winds that will knock over a fully loaded semi rig. Find a place to hole-up. If you
find the winds to be heavy but workable, you can exit I-80 at the West side of Laramie (exit 310),
and take US 30W. Only 12 extra miles but that's the route the truckers use on the 'windy days'.
How you decide to navigate Salt Lake City is up to you each way has it's own
