Refrigerator on LP gas in storage.

Greetings!

This Monday, my Sprinter is being towed out of storage to my site by the resort I belong too.

I'm heading there straight after work Monday afternoon.

I'm thinking of going to the camper Sunday afternoon with the groceries so that I don't have to carry a cooler with me all day at work Monday.

What do you think of leaving the refrigerator run on LP gas in storage (outside) unattended for 24 hours?

Leaving the fridge on propane for 24 hrs- unattended - shouldn't present any problems. People leave their fridge running overnight on propane or electricity and for long periods during the day when they are away from the unit. I would feel comfortable doing what you are planning.

Hi Dreamsongs.
We have a keystone Springdale and we take it it camping at the beach and leave the LP on for the fridge and freezer all day while we are out surfing. Never any problems

The instructions say to let it run for 8 hours before you put food in it. I always turn it on the night before we pack for a trip. Never been a problem.

Be sure to go ahead of time to turn it on as it will take awhile for it to cool down.

If the unit will not be plugged in for some time once it arrives at distention make sure you have a good battery. The fridge needs the battery to run as well.
