Hot Water Heater Flame Issue

Hi All! Thanks for reviewing my question. I'm about 30 nights in on a 2021 (new) Bullet 290BHS and the hot water heater is acting up (Dometic WH-6GEA). It was running fine through the first tank of propane. When that ran out I it flipped to the other and it started sputtering. I thought it may have been an issue with that tank/that side of the regulator so I filled tank #1 and flipped it back but I'm still having the issue. I've made sure the burn tube is clear. Its a little better when I close the door compared to the video with the door open but it still does it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum

Your air mixture is wrong, but you can’t adjust it in that model. I suspect there is a piece of debris stuck in the orifice, Seen it a few times. If you remove the burn tube you can remove the orifice.

DO NOT stick anything in it attempting to clear it. Compressed air “backwards” may work. If that doesn’t fix it orifice replacement is needed.

If you have electric, I would use it and let the dealer fix it under warranty.

Try closing the LP valve, disconnect the hose to release pressure, reconnect hose, open valve very slowly & listen for the hose to pressure up then continue to open the valve, then try the wh again.
Those LP valves have a rapid release check valve built-in to prevent a release in an accident.

This is a photo of a cutaway of the excess flow valve in the nut of the pigtail that attaches to your propane cylinders. The little spring loaded ball is what chokes off the flow of gas, both if there happens to be a break in a gas line, but also if you open one of the cylinder valves too fast.
