Electrical problems with Fuzion

I have a 2012 Ford F350 which was ordered with the tow package and the fifth wheel hitch. 2012 Fuzion 399 new also. Have been plagued with problems with the electrical hookup. All lights and the brakes work but no 12 volt power to the trailer. Keep blowing the fuse in the truck. Ford says everything is wired correctly. Camping World (CW), where I bought the Fuzion says it is a problem with the truck and that the 7pin in the bed of the truck is wired with the pin that provides the 12 volt power on the wrong pin and that it is different than the recepticle on the bumper. At this point I really dont believe either one of them. Question: is there an industry standard for the 7 pin recepticles for fifth wheels and is that different for other trailers? Sorry this is so long but I am scheduled to depart on my first journey with this rv and am worried that I wont have power. Thank you all for your wise counsel.

Yes, there is an industry standard for RV 7 pin wiring:

If you use a multi meter, you can easily check the contacts on the 7 pin truck connecter to verify that it is wired correctly. Once you rule that out then you can move on to the trailer to identify the problem.
Good luck, Steve

One other important question:

Which fuse in the truck is blowing and what is its amperage rating?

I am guessing it is the 12vdc charge line to the trailer, but want to confirm it.

The Ford manual for your truck calls for Fuse #90 (Trailer Tow Battery Charge) to be a 25A cartridge fuse. Anything smaller in that slot would probably blow pretty quick. Just something to check to be sure they are replacing that fuse with the proper amp rating.

BTW, here's a like to the owners manual: http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pub.../11f23og1e.pdf

Yes, it is the #90 25a fuse that is blowing. Thanks this is very helpful. Can I use a 12 volt test probe to check it out?

Steve, is there a way I can get a copy of that diagram full size? I would like to print it out to take to the trailer but when I print it from your post it is very small. Thanks again.

That info is available all over the net. I don't have it in any other size but I am sure you can find it on a google search and then select images. There will be lots to select from.
