Great to hear Lippert is selling “parts” now. That will make a huge difference for us. Condo? I would consider the use of that word here blasphemy.

My next door camping neighbor just had this exact thing happen today! Camping in Savanna (Creekfire) and a seasonally small amount of showers on and off today while they were out and about. They came back to what looks like pic 1 in the OPs first post. Not an old dilapidated unit either.

I had to replace mine a couple of years ago. Part #LC375994. Around $43 with shipping. Fairly easy install. When I first started looking I was told I had to replace the entire assembly, and then this part popped up on etrailer, wasn't there the first time I looked.

Goodness....stop camping, is that a passive/aggressive nature about you, or what?

I have a 2 year old Bullet (26 foot) and have already had issues with it.
I could take it in under warranty, but a bit of a chore, I live on a island, etc....OR, learn to fix and maintain it myself.
Which is what I opted to do. Even having to pay out of my pocket for parts.
What I learn is "priceless" as it helps me to feel better about myself, more confidant in my trailering life, and just more in control in this OUT OF CONTROL world....
Remember, hard times make strong people stronger, weak people....weaker.
Its your choice my friend, choose wisely

BTW, you also get to ask yourself about this Keystone product....WHAT WERE THEY THINKING.????
But I guess they have found they market, and that is "us" who want the best, for the cheapest....

Well if she likes Condos and you like camping—just divorce her !

Not really. This is the first of Many repairs you will learn along the way. The people here are great to learn from. I had no electrical knowledge-with help from the forum and some you tube reading I have installed a fridge guard and built my own solar system, with controller, inverter everything. Like said before once you get her fixed you will be proud you done it yourself. Best wishes.

When she starts espousing the virtues of a condo ask her about Surfside FL. High rise, no thank you.

Just a heads up. Our Solara electric awning was out one afternoon and my wife found one of the spring clip washers that fit on the end of all those pins in the grass. We found 2 pins with no retainer washers and 3 that looked like they were on there way off too. I pounded the pins back in and tapped the washers back on so now I need to get a retainer washer. Why wouldn't they use real clips like C-clips and pins instead of cheap tin washers and straight clips, oh I forgot CHEAP build and no Q.C.. So keep an eye on the pins and washers they're probably not that easy to find.

RV ownership is not a "Plug n Play" system. They DEMAND our constant attention, time, and money if you want to keep them looking nice.

But, after each incident that happens, you learn something and grow because of it too. Welcome to the world of RVing .... (ownership). This is the side RV dealers and advertisers do NOT tell you about. But it is still equally as rewarding because even repairs, means .... I get to spend time with my camper!

I think the true difference between a true "full time RVer" is not if they own a house or not. I think a true "full time RVer" is a mind-set.

The part-time RVer focuses on the Destination.

The full-time RV focuses on the Journey. And RV ownership, maintenance, and repairs are part of the Journey. If you don't enjoy the "journey" too, you'll not truly enjoying RVing or your RV.

You can get parts from Solera.

There are user replaceable parts.

The rain retract add-on if an option is $100. The power sensor for motion lights if an option is $100.
Anything for RV isn’t ever cheap.

Awning Rain damage

Lesson learned on July 3rd. Split the tube in half. Thinking about options.

Say if you find where to buy those spring clip washers let us know. I just found one laying on the ground under my awning last trip. Looked all over and didn't see where it came from. Maybe one pin had 2, but if one fell off I'm sure more will follow. Yet another thing to check every trip

on our former camper (RVision 243), I was napping and a storm blew in and tore the awning off and blew it over the roof. I was able to get what was left off- the tube was still good as was the arms. The mount points were pulled out. The awning was trashed but that was not that expensive and it was old and about to come apart anyway. I read up how to tension spring and replaced it and put bolts and large washers all the way through and a bunch of silicon caulk. All fixed. We have the Solera on this one and I like the comment about the rain sensor auto-retract.
