Kitchen flapper tab missing

My Keystone trailer has an exterior kitchen vent flapper with the two tabs. Well, one of the two tabs is missing. Any ideas on getting a replacement one? Such a small part and unsure if the part is officially called “kitchen flapper tab”.

Any ideas..?.

The stove vent on my rig has NO tabs to close off the flapper. This is a first for me. Initially I wondered if they came up with a new design that did not need to be locked with the tabs...but truthfully - the vent is so high up on the sidewall I can't reach it without a short steps-tool. I don't worry about it anymore.

You can get the tabs at any home or hardware store. They are also used to hold screens in place on some windows. Ask the hardware man for the "Thingies that hold the screens on. Using technical terms like that will guaranty they don't take advantage of you and charge you more than 25˘ each.

Or make one from a plastic lid from a mayonnaise jar or something similar.

Thanx

Thanx, Hank suggests a thingie, Travelin suggests a doodad part, and MnD suggests the ‘do nothing’ option. I now have enough info to draft the feasibility study report regarding this issue. Thank you.

Or you can buy a replacement "flapper" for $15.45 plus shipping
https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories...CA0472-00.html

or an entire replacement vent with flapper for $12.30 plus shipping

Yes, this is one of those "monumentous times" when you can buy the entire vent for less than the price of "just one part of the whole vent"...

I think he was asking about the 1" long piece of plastic that pivots over the flapper to keep it from flapping going down the road. Looked on eBay and I think he will end up buying the whole thing as suggested as I didn't see just the tabs. Or make one as suggested.
