Kitchen Slide comes in with jerk

Hello all,

2018 Cougar 367FLS. When stowing kitchen slide floor comes in ahead of roof. After last trip roof stays put to long and then a large jerk to catch up to floor. I recently lubricated both gear rails but outsides edges do need a good cleaning. Any ideas is appreciated

Make sure you use dry lube for your rails. As well make sure the rubbers seal on all sides are lubricated on a regular bases. Also insure that the rubber seas are lubricated on all sides.Speaking from experience, these seals really grab onto the slide if they are not lubricated. Good luck.

I just spent the day adjusting the room height according to the Lippert manual. I cleaned and treated all seals and dry lubed the gears. The Jerk of the roof catching up is less but not gone.

If the room comes in “floor high” for a while and then “leans in” when the roof gets to a certain point, it’s not necessarily bad. Your main concern is sealing top and bottom when fully extended and retracted.
