National Park Senior Fee Increase

If you don't have a senior pass yet, buy one quick before the price hike.

Definitely! Got mine early this year, cause we hear the NPS has been instructed to raise the price to $80. While it would still be a bargain at $80, if your 62 or more, you should get on it.

Thanks, got mine a couple years ago. If I recall I paid $20 for lifetime by mailing mine in, at that time it was $10 if you bought it at a park. The extra I paid was supposedly for S&H. Have yet to use mine.

^^^Not a bad idea Javi. I have wondered what happens if I lose mine. I guess I could ask them. All the computers the govment has and all, surely I'm in there.

I bought mine in Big Bend NP, last October, it was $10 and they told me f I lost it, I would have to buy another one.

I was happy buying the annual ones at $80, before I turned 62... a lifetime version seems like a bargain, at any price.

We have some awesome national parks and should do what we can to ensure their survival?

Not sure if it still true, but when I got my lifetime pass, it was free for two persons, if you produced an official state issued Handicapped Permit or HP vehicle registration.

We rarely use ours due to the need for reservations. By the time we've decided to go, there are no spots available. We did get to drive through Death Valley without paying a fee, though. The campsite was crowded and full, so we pressed on to the border.

I talked some with the ranger at the entrance to Playalinda in Titusville, Florida yesterday. He said so far it is only a rumor that won't go away. His higher-ups seem to think that it is only a matter of time, but that time hasn't been set. Get 'em while they're hot....
