Bubble in fiberglass

Took our trailer to dealer for a bubble that formed in fiberglass about size of half dollar coin on the front cap about 1.5" from side & about a foot from roof. They got the OK from Keystone to warranty the work to repair. From what I understand it involves sanding area down, cleaning it out and reapply fiberglass. After repair, I was not able to get back to dealer for 9 days. Of course I inspected upon return and there was a small bubble in same spot about size of screw head. They state it was not there when they repaired it and now hoping to try and figure out what caused the bubbles while they repair again. Anyone experience this issue?

I just took my 2011 Passport 2850RL in for a similiar issue, and am waiting to hear from the dealer. I have 3-5 'bubbles' about 6 inches in diameter just over the large rear window. I have only had the unit for 2 months and have pulled it less than 1,000 miles.

Dealer service called and stated a "resin" type of fiberglass was used on repair that apparently does not react well in the heat here. This time they are using fiberglass material that the trailer was manufactured with. I am not sure why this was not done to begin with(cost less, easier to use....). I hope that is the answer.

Dealer is blowing smoke. There are thousands of fiberglass boats that were built in the 60s and 70s that have been in direct sunlight all that time and have not come apart.
Standard fiberglass construction consists of a mold that is sprayed with a release agent, then sprayed with gelcoat, then layers of roving and also chopped mat shot onto it with a chopper gun. All of these layers are rolled with epoxy before the next layer is applied.
Fiberglass separates under two conditions. Either moisture got into the glass and wicked throughout and caused a condition called blistering, or the fiberglass layers simply separated because they were layed up dry(not enough epoxy). Resin based epoxies, notably Gougeon Bros, AKA West System, have been used for fiberglass construction since the beginning, so if the dealer is saying there was a problem with the "resin", it's because it wasn't mixed properly, or the surface wasn't properly cleaned.
Don't you just despise dealers and service writers who think we are stupid?

Well the dealer determined that mine is a warranty issue and Keystone agreed. Now I have to wait 2 weeks for a new 'skin' to arrive.

My husband checked the roof of our new Springdale after our first 3 day trip. He said he found bubbles (separations) on the roof. Took it back to dealer and it has been there almost a week waiting to hear if Keystone is going to replace the top. Considering it is only a couple of months old, guess they had better.
