Water connection

My water connection is flimsy and is strained by the water hose when connected. What are my options?

Mine is flimsy too and has been that way since new. Largely in part due to the cheap plastic water connection assembly. I tthought about changing it out for a more substantial brass connection assembly but it hhasn't leaked in two seasons now. I do use a 90 degree hose adapter fitting which helps minimize the stress from the weight of the water hose.
Until I replace it with a better one, I will keep an eye on the plastic one. So far no leaks.

Yes, I think the brass 90* will take care of it. Thanks.

I use a 90 as well, just lets the hose hang better.

Richard, I agree with you the laredo water connection is flimsy. The 90 degree connector may work but would we have to get it far enough outside of the lip of the black plastic water compartment in order for it to really work?

Richard,
Did the 90 degree brass fitting work? I like the idea but I didn't think it would extend over the lip near our 320 tg city water inlet. Let me know if it works. I camped this weekend and my instinct tells me that plastic crap is not gonna be there for the long haul if you know what I mean. it is dirt cheap if you ask me.

So does Amazon or Ebay have one like this http://www.easternmarine.com/90-brass-hose-elbow-22505 that extends a bit more from the trailer?
I agree that the plastic ones are just junk!

Camco also makes a 45 degree hose elbow which just might work.

SummerHummer, the 90 degree didn't work well. The plastic crap is cheap like many parts on Keystone RV's. The best solution I found was quality quick disconnect ends. I screwed it on the plastic crap real tight. I can still close the door when traveling. The hose end slips on and off real easy now and there is no drips. I think the plastic will last a while now.
