Slide Not Square?

On our 2022 Fuzion Impact, the slide wall is close the fifthwheel wall at the bootm than at the top on one side and just thge opposite on the other. It seems to be causing the fifthwheel wall to separate from the floor on the side with the bottom closer than th top. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix? Thanx in advance.

Cable is BAL/NORCO.

If you extend the slide while watching the bottom corners can you see the wall of trailer move? If so odds are the welds at the corner have failed. We had a Montana in the shop a few months ago for this. We had to remove the slide, and found most of the Column screws had failed also.

Re welded the frame, re secured the column and as far as I know, it’s still fixed.

Take a video and send it to your dealer so they can start the process to fix it. Our customer ended up filing with his insurance co.

Your 2022 should be covered under the Keystone 3 year structural warranty. That said, depending on how your dealership writes up the request for warranty repair, Keystone will either approve or disapprove the repair request...

As an example, if your dealership reports that the slide won't come in evenly and the wall moves, probably from contact with the wall. Chances are that Keystone will disapprove the request. Why? Because slide adjustment is an owner responsibility and if (no evidence either way, so Keystone takes the out) the slide was binding on the wall, then it's possible that the owner's negligence (not adjusting the slide) caused the issue.... So: DISAPPROVED....

On the other hand, if the dealer reports that the wall base has separated from faulty weld joints (a common problem) and the slide movement as it is extended and retracted has caused the weak joint to further crack and the movement was recognized after the slide appeared to be "off center" in the sidewall cutout. Then, Keystone has little ability to "blame you" for the failure....

So, make sure WHAT your dealer reports to Keystone and HOW he words the warranty request.... His documentation, if carefully worded to be accurate and explains the failure correctly, then it will probably be approved for warranty repair....

On the other hand, a "half hearted attempt to get Keystone's approval, knowing the dealership will be paid less than if you pay for the repair, will probably be viewed in a different way by Keystone.....

So, stay on your dealership's reporting process and MAKE DAMN SURE they stay on your side, not on their "profit side"....

Good Luck !!!!!
