Solar panel overload

I recently finished my solar install to go with my Ecoflow independence kit. 4320 watts of solar. It runs a mini split and the fridge full time, second mini split to come but it'll run that full time also but the second one will only be needed in above 85 degree weather.

Wow,don’t think i’ve ever seen a solar setup like that.I wonder if it’s gonna create lift and and induce some aerodynamic forces on the trailer with having such a large foil raised that high off the roof?…I’m thinking it will create downforce of several thousand pounds on the trailer allowing you to corner and maintain grip on the track around turns.or it will create lift and you will save on tires because your rig will float about 3” off the road at 65mph..could also possibly have a large humming or resonance sound like a bear jug band.

maybe install a airfoil on the leading edge?

just kiddin around as you obviously spent a small fortune on your upgrades …hope it performs to your expectations and pretty impressive

Looking at the first pic I doubt it sees the road. It appears to be setting on a pad with a fence tight against the front and back and no room to turn it around. Unless I'm missing something it would require a crane to get the trailer out.

Edit: upon looking at the pick on a larger screen I'm guessing that's a gate in front and the pad is an extension on the driveway. Enjoy your power generation. How many batteries do you have to support that?

Thanks for the compliment and yes I'm building an air dam at the front. Generally speaking I don't go over 55 anyway. I prefer highways over the freeway when I'm in vacation mode anyway. It is a very sturdy racking system and it took me months to plan it out and about three weeks to install actual working time.

Honestly it has only been on three road trips since it's purchase in October. Mostly it's been on the RV pad behind the house getting worked on. It's going to be a full time in the winter traveler. It'll be getting a three axle moreride independent air suspension at the end of this year. The batteries are three 5kw 48 volt batteries that come with the Ecoflow independence kit. The trailer is a 2019, 3761fl Montana. I actually clocked the panels yesterday at 4570 watts of input power. A few things to button up and we're on our way to camping anywhere we can fit for free.

I am curious as to how you are going to extricate that camper and how the heck did you get it in that orientation on the pad?

Very impressive. Those mini split AC’s will be amazing. Quiet and efficient.
I saw a trailer that offered a mini split AC system using ceiling mounted cassette units. I believe they were made by LG.
I hope someday RV manufactures will make mini splits more of a standard. To me it makes so much more sense. But I know building units and plumbing all the copper lines will be a pain.

that's a nice set up, more than I would ever need in my climate. did it come from the factory with the mini split or did you install that and remove the AC?

Not familiar with the term "mini split". Could someone provide an explanation?
Thanks

a typical home hvac system is a “split system” whereas the air conditioning part of it consists of a indoor coil or air handler and an outdoor condensing unit or heat pump….the system is “split” in two parts..indoor and outdoor and connected by field installed wiring and copper refrigerant tubing of site determined length.typically between 1.5 to 5 tons

a mini split is just a smaller version of the system with smaller copper and wiring and a cassette or wall mounted air handler that resembles a window air conditioner although much different dimensions for aesthetics…they are also much much quieter and more efficient as the condensing unit or heat pump along with the noisy compressor is located outside.
they can have 1/2 ton or 6000btus models all the way up to much larger although the larger units typically get split into multiple wall mounted units with a single outdoor that has multiple copper connections

Look up Senville 120v mini split. A split AC unit just like for your house except smaller and more efficient. It has an outdoor unit and an indoor unit connected by a copper line set. Much quieter

Just stay away from extreme cold with that. We have a mini split in our bedroom and I can tell you from experience, at roughly 16 degrees below 0, they no longer will provide any heat. Apparently there is no heat left in the air to pump. LOL! Other than that, highly recommend them for efficiency and quiet.

Would love to see pictures of how your split mini system is installed on your 5er. If my system ever goes out I would consider the mini split system. Thanks!
