Tire pressure

Heading on a long trip this weekend and started thinking about checking tire pressure. The tires are about 62psi which I’m thinking is fine however I have nothing to base it on.
Sidewall on tire states it’s a load range D tire, single axel weight rating of 2200lb and max inflation of 75psi (cold).

Trailer’s GVWR is 4440lb

What pressure would you run?

To get the longest life out of the tire and I am talking about trailer tires "ST".
Run the max or close to what is listed. If I am within 2 lbs I do not sweat it.
Double check the max psi. The Ds rated I have seen are at 65 psi. Yeah, there could be some at 75 but double check and put it to max. Spend some time reading about ST tires, how there made and why. When you get a chance look into TPMS for the trailer tires. They will pay for themselves with the early warning of a low tire vs unknowing til it blows.

Thanks. I was surprised to see 75 max. Thought D rated tires were 65max. But it’s definitely 75.

For your RV I'd run the max cold psi stamped on the sidewall. Cold pressure is first thing in the morning when all tires are at close to ambient temps before moving, don't check them after traveling all day.

The correct inflation pressure for the original equipment tires is found on the vehicle certification label, tire and loading placard and in the vehicle owner's manual.

RV trailer tires carry the weight of the combined GAWR loads, hopefully with some load capacity reserves.

Using your tire picture I believe the tire size to be ST205/75R14 with a LRD. You need to immediately contact the vehicle manufacturer and provide them with the picture. That whole batch of tires are very unsafe and need to be recalled. The reason is obvious. Other people like you may read the sidewall information and inflate those tires to a cold 75 PSI. (10 PSI over maximum permissible inflation pressures for that tire).

You will get new tires at no cost to you when the recall is activated. The vehicle manufacturer can and probably will take immediate action. If they don't, send the picture to NHTSA. They will force the vehicle manufacturer to take immediate action.
