Help with Dometic ac problem

I have a 05 cougar with Dometic remote controlled ac. The unit had been working great. I parked and stored it and when I went back to check it the ac would not come on. I tried pressing the button in the top of the ceiling and the light will not come on. Any ideas of what to do next?

Welcome to the forum. My first questions are ... Are you plugged into shore power?? Are all the circuit breakers on????

Same Problem

I see the thread has stopped, but without resolution. I have encountered the same problem where I stored the camper, brought it back to life and can get no response from the a/c heater unit.

We're hooked up to shore, all other power is working fine, new batteries in the remote. Why they decided to go with a wireless thermostat system is beyond me...

It's going to start getting cold, would love some help getting these fans up and running again.

Could there be a time delay built into unit like some residental that time out on power up?

Timing out

I have called Dometic directly and the best advice they could give me was to disconnect the 12v power supply for 12 minutes and reconnect it again, with the intention of a reset.

Did not work. Next...

If you tested your battery with a volt meter and it had 11 volts on it, do you think that they would tell you to disconnect it for 11 minutes instead?

Anyway, I'm curious as to why disconnecting your battery, which is DC, would affect your air conditioner which is fed by AC? I know I've looked at mine and I don't recall there being a DC feed to it, but maybe there is.

AC

Is your AC and furnace set points too close? Mine won't come on unless there is a few degree spread. Just a thought.

Post this question on RV.Net in the tech issues Forum. There is a RV tech that reads that forum and he is a whiz on Dometic products.
