Not quite sure what you are referring to. Perhaps a picture would help. Vertical slider is a slide out? What is an "active frame". Which camper are you trying to get help with?

I agree. Model specifics and an explanation of what is being talked about would definitely help.

2014 Keystone Hideout
Vertical sliding window
The active part( the part that moves) is shattered.
It has some spacers on each side that have to be removed to give it enough room to escape the frame. I can’t determine what is holding the spacers in place(white part in photo)

That sure helped. We do have folks on the board who can give you an answer I think so just be patient. I don't think you will be able to replace the part that is broken but will need to replace the entire window assembly. This video is a good start:

There is a company that seems to buy up parts from Keystone suppliers and sells model specific windows (for your Hideout). Since I have no idea what size your window is, measure and see what a new window will cost at Trekwood.com - their shipping is expensive.

I am guessing the window can be bought on eBay as well:

Thanks wiredgeorge.....

I was hoping I could get the sliding frame out and get just the one glass replaced, but thanks for the link...It will be helpful if I have to do a total replacement.

Replacing the window is very much a DIY project. If you do go that route, feel free to PM me with any questions.

You would do well to take Chuck up on his offer as he actually is a very experience RV tech. I don't know if you can replace one glass pane. Outside my experience.
