LR slide out leaves trail

Hello,
My living room slide out (2017 Alpine) leaves a trail of grease or graphite on the floor when I open it. Previous owner said to lay down thin rug to avoid having to scrub it off but would like a more permanent fix. Anyone know of one?
Thanks

When the slide is out, go outside, crawl under the slide and look at the black plastic coating under the slide. It's a sheet of DARCO, which is a black plastic fiber reinforced tarp. (think blue plastic tarp)....

Chances are the DARCO is rubbing on the wear bar (guide bar) that's mounted on the trailer floor. As the slide moves in and out, that black DARCO scrapes against the wear bar and the "black powdery residue" falls onto the carpet or vinyl flooring.

How to fix it??? That depends on how much you want to spend or how "handy" you are. If you have electric "through frame slides" you have plastic roller guides that may be worn or broken. They can cause the problem and once replaced, lift the slide "just high enough" that the DARCO no longer rubs against the wear bar.

Anyway, the first step is to extend the slide, crawl under it and see if you can find any places where the DARCO is damaged/worn. That's a "first step".
