Using a pump out service?

We are going to Oshkosh again this year. They have a truck that comes around to pump out the waste tanks.
Has anybody had experience with this? Are there any considerations or potential issues with having the tanks drained by suction? Like is there any risk of collapsing tanks etc?

All your holding tanks are vented so there isn’t much chance of them collapsing when the “honey truck” hooks on.

Had this done at one place I stayed and all was fine. As previously mentioned the tanks are vented.

I’ve never had a issue. It’s kind of like haveing someone else work on your truck. I don’t like it. But the dw hasn’t learned how to take a quick shower yet so we get pumped where they offer it and there arnt full hook ups. I will usually ask them not to drain the black so I can drain/ flush it on my way out of the park.

Most of our group gets pumped out one or more times while outside of Quartzsite every year and no one has ever had a problem. Sure beats having to pack up and take the rig into town and then back out to set up again.

I've had it done on our previous trailer...no issues. Having it available eases the mind and helps with the frustration of worrying about if you have to close up everything to go dump in the middle of a longer stay.

Used to do it all the time, at the NASCAR races, fresh fill and tanks drained... from different trucks.
