Camers ~ rear view

I have a Cougar 303rls. I'm not a fan of Ford GPS so did not get it on my new truck. I am a fan of Garmin and bought the 7" RV model. For an extra $155 a camera can be purchased (from thegpsstore.com ) that uses the Garmin GPS screen. No wires needed. Supposed to pick up to 40' or 45'. Hoping to find someone that has used it.

I have the Garmin RV760 and am looking at the BC 20 camera. On we are over Christmas.
After a rotten experience with a wireless camera (Oh it goes 70 feet no problem. Yeah 70 inches maybe), I would get the extension cable and mount the transmitter as close to the hitch as possible. in the front compartment or in the nose cap would be great.
My opinion anyway.

My 2016 Cougar has "Hitch Vision" so hitching up is not a problem. Mostly want it to watch behind the coach while backing.

Not a Garmin...

Hi:

We have the Tadi Brothers wireless camera setup. While it is great for backing, I think it almost useless for rear-view while driving (which is why I bought it to begin with - the DW is the best rear-view backing camera money can't buy!). When on the road, it only works about 20% of the time. We have a 30ripr towed with a SCREW 150, so it is fairly long, but well within the limits of the camera system. Have adjusted, moved, (cussed... a lot), tweaked until I'm ready just to pull wires.

We met a couple in Charleston, SC that had a Garmin setup. I was very jealous! I should have spent the few extra bucks!

Ours has the chrome package and camera is a joke. I called manufacturer and they say. To much aluminum for it to work I do want dual camera to keep eye in the box.

The cameras on the Chrome Fuzion's are hit or miss. I always have reception in the garage, but the outside one on the back is hit or miss depending on heat, rain, and other interference. When it goes out intermittently, usually I can switch views (from one camera to the other) and it comes back. Also, make sure you have antennas on the cameras...mine came from factory without one

I really wanted a wireless system to work, however I just had no luck with it. Great in the driveway, but epic fail while driving. I ended up going wired. Luckily RearViewSafety.com, where I got the system replaced it no questions asked.

Here is my install. Its been a great system for me so far. Well worth it, IMHO.
