Cougar 29RBK Winterizing
Wondering if anybody on the forum has the 29RBK, and if so - could tell me how they winterized it. I do not know where the pump is so I can suck in the antifreeze.
Appreciate the help.
Thanks!

If you visit the Keystone website, there is a video about winterizing basics for you to look at. In addition, there is a multitude of threads/posts already here on the forum about winterizing -some pertaining to specific models but others are mostly basic steps that would be applicable to all models.
You can also Google "Winterizing an RV" and find all sorts of info on line.
I don't know where your water pump is located but you need to find that as well as the HW tank bypass valve(s). I assume you already know where your black water exterior hose and the FW tank potable water intake is.
Try using the forum's search feature - you find all kinds of winterizing information already here for the reading.
Not trying to put you off by not outlining all the steps but they already exist here for you to read. The steps are pretty basic and very similar from model to model.

As the local dealer told me back in 2012, run the pump, listen and follow the sound, might be a few screws to take out to reach it but that is the way most of us found our pumps! Good hunting!

Your dealer's tech should have told you where and how to access the pump. It's a critical point of the PDI, especially for first time trailer owners. If your trailer is already equipped with the winterizing kit, the tech should have pointed it out to you and briefed you on winterizing.
Failing that, the question of pump location has been asked dozens of times here already. It's been described in great detail many times before. Finding the pump is fairly easy. Turn it on and move around the trailer. The louder it is, the closer you are to it. Most pumps in these units are located behind an access panel that is typically held in place with just a couple of screws. (99.99% of all screws in RV's are #2 square drive, readily available at any hardware or home improvement store.) Remove the panel and you'll have adequate access to the pump. In my Cougar, the pump is accessed in the basement and it's behind the city water hookup area. The panel was easy to remove, but getting at the pump to install the winterizing kit was an exercise in agility. But once the kit was installed, the valve is easy to reach. I choose to remove the hose and replace it with a cap for the camping season to prevent any possibility of an accident.
The location and identification of the low point drains and the fresh water tank drain have also been discussed repeatedly here. A little searching will many of the these threads and posts. They're all there and they are all easy to find.

Cougar 29RBK Winterizing
Different dealers handle customer orientation/walk through"s differently. Where I work now the service writers do them. Last place sales did them.

Appreciate the advice.
Hopefully you saw I was just curious if anyone had my specific model and knew where the pump was already to save some time. I did my due diligence and searched threads on here and on Google.

The water pump is in the bedroom on the left hand side of the bed. Just lift up the carpeted board and you ll see her.

I am a newbie as well. Just purchased a Laredo in August and winterized it this week. Mine is inside the "shelf" to the left of the bed. Found six screws in the carpet and the "box" folded out towards the back of the trailer. Mine doesn't have the winterization kit so I unscrewed the inlet side of the pump. Went to Lowes and bought a 1/2" PEX 90 degree elbow with a female thread on one side and a "Shark Bite" connection on the other. Also bought a 5 foot length of 1/2" PEX pipe. Connected to the pump and stuck the end of the pipe into the gallon of antifreeze. Turned on the pump and opened all the water outlets one by one. I blew the system out with compressed air first, so it didn't take long for the antifreeze to get through the entire system at full strength. I think it worked perfectly. Like I said I am a total rookie so maybe my process is flawed. The Keystone Tech guy is a pretty good video. Hopefully somebody will see this and make sure I am not to messed up. I also try to search before posting, but I have to admit I like specific questions too.

Don't forget to pour several cups of the pink stuff into your sink and shower drains to protect the traps.
Pump a bit of antifreeze through the black tank flush. The coily hose is handy for this.
Run a bit out of the hot and cold low point drains.

Nice. I did the traps, but only forced air through the flush. Didn't even consider antifreeze. Thanks for the info, better safe than sorry.

Speaking of "flush" you didn't mention the toilet. Make sure you flush it until you've got pink swirling from the rim and then leave an inch or so above the valve so "condition" the seal.

Also don't forget to flush the city water supply line and the outside shower if you have one.
