When we were at the factory in July, I noticed the "Cougar auto level system" being installed on all the models that were on the assembly line. They were building "High Country" models at that time, so I don't know what is currently available on the "standard build" models.
With that stated, from what I saw, the "auto level" system consisted of two "gyro systems" installed in the underbelly and two electric jacks mounted to the frame rails just behind the axles. These jacks, along with the gyro input, will raise the trailer in conjunction with the front landing gear, and position it to a level position.
That's half the story (in my opinion) because the front landing gear is subject to movement, so effective stabilizing of the trailer isn't a part of this system. In a "true" auto-level/stabilization system, 4 or 6 jacks are used to raise the RV to level and also stabilize the RV from movement. In the Cougar system, I don't think stabilizing is an integral capability based on two jacks being placed where they are located. I'd think a JT strongarm or BAL stabilizing bar system installed on the front landing gear would still be needed to stabilize the RV.
As for leveling the RV, it did work well on their demonstration, but for stabilizing, it left a bit to be desired. Easily remedied by a future owner, but not a "complete answer" to "pushbutton camping".
