Black Tank Flush

I have a 2012 Sprinter 266RBS new last year.
This last week while draining the black and grey tanks, I hooked up the black tank flush and water came out everywhere. Leaking out from many places along the frame encloser and many other places. I had only used the black tank flush one other time a year ago.
I did not blow out this line last fall, did it freeze and bust up in several places? If so why didn't this line drain down into the tank?
Or did something else happen to the black tank flush line?

Two things may have happened to cause "water to come out everywhere". One, the line did freeze up and crack the pipe or two, the vacuum breaker check valve at the end of the black tank line may have broken. This check valve has caused similar problems before as it is essentially a cheap piece of thin plastic and has broken on other units.

If you do a forum search on the black tank vacuum breaker check valve you can browse through a number of posts which outline the problem and what others have done to either do away with the check valve or to replace it with a bronze/metal one.

There is a significant length of line between the exterior fill inlet and the black tank itself. The line runs through a portion of the interior of RV and is hidden behind partitions, cupboards, walls or cabinets. If the line froze it could have split anywhere well before it reaches the tank resulting in water flowing from the line into the interior of your RV and out again wherever there a hole has been drilled to allow pipes or wires to pass through.

Sounds like it froze. I wouldn't have thought of blowing it out, but it sure sounds like it froze and cracked.

The first thing I would do is locate the vacuum breaker. It is usually located under a sink, in a cabinetor somewhere similar near the outside connection area. It likely froze and cracked. Very easy to replace once you locate it.
