Front Hatch stiffener

A while back, I got rather upset when my front hatch wouldn't stay locked because the hatch material had started to bend from a combination of its own weight and being supported in only the center for the hatch. I altered my front hatch by adding a stiffener. The materials used were a piece of angle aluminum, bolts, self-retaining (nylok type) nuts, fender washers and RTV to seal the front. Other people have faced this problem by adding additional latches for the hatch.
