At least 4 things - the A/C of course, and then there is the control module that will tie into the system. The grill/plenum assembly is dependent a few things like if duct-ed or non duct-ed to the existing duct work. Lastly the cabling, most T/H's are pre-wired for power but my unit was not prewired for the the thermostat cable, which I fished down the air plenum from the center unit (all 3 are daisy chained together and use jumpers to identify unit numbers).
You might need cabling for the temperature sensor depending on its placement in the garage. My unit has the standalone multizone thermostat so I dont know about the tie in to InCommand unit. i would be surprised if the new units are not still daisy chained.
Optionally I added a breaker to the power distribution box to eliminate the factory power sharing box that would not allow the garage to run concurrently with the bedroom unit. The new breaker is on the same side of the power box as my fireplace and 20amp Washer circuit so there is no overload situation ((verified by my Progressive EMS). So there is a bit of work to do but still would say the hardest part is getting the unit on the roof. It worked out good for us being able to control all 3 zones independantly.
