Roku pairing

Hey guys new to Keystone, traded my 2015 Winnie Minnie 2351 DKS in on a 2020 Cougar 32 RLI figured Id share a tip when pairing Roku. I looked all over and apparently either everyone was smarter than me or no one uses Roku.

So basically its real simple, when trying to pair my remote to the tv, Summit dosen't show up in the lists of remotes, but I got a funny feeling it was a rebranded Jensen based on the TV's operating system. Well that works! Tell roku its a Jensen tv instead of summit and it will find the right frequency!!!

Stay tuned while i attempt a full solar conversion and maybe i won't burn down my trailer!!

Happy Camping!

There must be a very limited frequency range. I just delivered a 2021 Artic Fox fifth wheel and the Vizeo remote makes the fireplace turn on. Gray stone I think.

We use Roku in all our TVs with no issues. Some wifi access points make us use our cell phones to connect them to the internet.

I have the Summit tv in my 2021 Cougar. Picked up the Roku Streaming Stick+ . Have tried different TV's to pair the Roku remote including Jensen and LG with no luck. Any suggestions?

There's a small button on the inside where the batteries are that you'll hold near the Roku and push to link (if it's not linked already) the remote to the Roku. Once it's connected you go into the settings of the Roku itself to link to the TV controls.

Interesting as my fireplace remote died and have not found a cheap replacement (not spending $40).

Followed all the ideas so far. The voice command on Rocu works except volume, mute and on/off. Guess its better than nothing.

To Powayegg,
I have the 40 " Summit TV and it seems to be the same as my Visio 65" TV. Give that a try.
Hope it works for you.

Tried the Visio still no luck. Thank you to all for your suggestions. Guessing my Roku does not play well with my Summit TV. Picked several other TV makes and got up to code 13 and still no luck. The music continues to play. Not the worst thing to worry about I guess. Overall I am pleased with the 30RKDWE Cougar and love the floor plan for two people.

If one remote is that important to you, couldn’t you buy a new universal remote that may work with both?

I'm no techy but it sounds like you have a smart tv with the apps for streaming internet channels, but internet/wifi will have to be connected to the tv as well & registered or pay for those services.

I can’t remember but I thought my summit has the roku on the remote but it’s just if you have the portable roku hooked up..I don’t think it’s on the tv itself..it’s just there if you get a roku the remote will already be paired

Roku Streaming Stick + was supposed to do that.

Exclamation 2022 Cougar 30RKD (East) Summit 4K TV with Roku Streaming Stick 4k

Newbie camper. I researched this question and followed all suggestions I found on the Internet. The music never stopped playing after more than a half dozen models tried.

None seemed to work, but while doing the process, I inadvertently answered yes to the question about whether the music stopped. I kept going for a while and when I finally decided to stop, I happened to try the volume and mute buttons and they worked!

The process of checking for the music to stop is not a definitive indication of success. Sadly, I cannot recall which one it was, but it was one of these:

Mitsubishi
Jensen
Daewoo
Furrion (manufacturer of Summit TVs)
LG
Vizio
Samsung
Goldstar

The point is, you need to actually try the volume/mute buttons while the music is playing to detect whether it worked.
