pleated shades

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem? When I leave my pleated shades down for any length of time, such as storage, and then raise them they begin to loose their pleats.

I don't know to what "extent" you are "losing the pleats". Think of it this way, take a sheet of paper and fold it in half. Ly it on a table and it will maintain a nice "crisp" fold. Now open the paper and lay it back on the tale. Gravity will "pull" on that paper and the crease will open up.

To add to Marshall's comment, if you add heat (sunshine through the window) and humidity (moisture as in steam) then you'd essentially be "using a steam iron" to remove the creases on the sheet of paper in his example. The same thing happens if your pleated window shades are pulled down "tightly" which sets them up for a "pleat delete"....

I have the same exact problem with my pleated blinds. If left down for too long they refuse to fold up properly when raised.

My camper is a 2019 and I'll bet they changed the material used for the shades, they do feel different from my 2018, which didn't have this issue.

I'm dreading calling my service rep at Camping World and telling him of this warranty problem.

What are my chances of getting something like this done under warranty!

I feel a migraine coming on.

What are your "chances"? I wouldn't hazard a guess but what's it going to cost you to find out? A phone call, a little time, maybe a Tylenol?
