I have an RV GPS but I also rely on a few phone apps. I have apps for all the truck stops like Pilot/Flying J, Truck stops of America, Love because you never know when you want to stop either for fuel, or simply a rest. I do wish an app existed for all the state run rest areas but its unique to each state. I don't worry about roadside assistance as I have Good Sams and AAA. If you will be making longer trips and have impromptu stops, plug in your KOA or other similar campground app. I also keep a few hotel apps

I recently downloaded a nav app called Waze. It is very good at identifying road hazards, construction, law enforcement, etc. The turn by turn voice directions are quite good. It is a free download.

We use the Good Sam app, Allstays, KOA app, and even at times MapQuest. When they don't have enough info, we just do an internet search for RV parks in whatever town we are looking. We use the weather app that comes with an iPhone, and also have the WeatherBug app, because these rigs don't fare well in nasty weather. There have been a number of times that checking ahead in the morning prior to leaving a park, caused us to wait out a storm that we were heading towards. We have the Google Earth app, so we can punch in an address of an RV park to see how it is laid out prior to arriving. We also have our financial apps, medical and prescription apps as well. Don't know how people were able to travel across country years ago without all this info

We recently purchased the Garmin for RV. You plug in all the info i.e.: height and weight and off you go. It's quite interesting and notifies us of traffic issues, etc. Have used it minimally, but like what we see so far.

Rbev2308, I have a rest stop app from Allstays that seems pretty accurate.

GasBuddy works great for me. With my 107 gallon fuel capacity I can be very picky where I stop for fuel.

Dittos on RVParky, Waze and Gas Buddy. Also use Passport America as a priority for finding a park and an aviation app for specific weather, but my local TV station has an app for weather that works well. Just add the city of choice for current and forecast weather.

I've also used my iPhone for directions. Load the address into Contacts, tap on it and it will talk you in the right direction. Sure beats a AAA map.

Trip Advisor is good for restaurant recommendations.
