Newbie here...

Alittle about me: Wife and I welcomed our first child into the world on September 29. We have spent the last few years in the boating world. The thought of a travel trailer came up when we realized there wasn't any very young children at our yacht club anymore. With the price of boating and membership fees out of this world (just north of new york city on the Hudson river) we wanted try something different.

Did my homework and looked at everything from used - junk to $300k buses.

This is what we got.
2014 Ford F150 FX4 supercrew, 3.5 ecoboost, 5.5 box. (This is my everyday'er)
2015 Cougar 33RBI (this is the floor plan we liked best)

The trailer will be ready late Jan.. maybe Feb. We ordered it because the options we wanted was not there and ... not looking to use it till spring anyway we had time.

Purchased it from: CW Myrtle Beach.. yes.. there's a ton of CW from NY to SC but... my boat trade was the kicker...

Goal: first few years camp once or twice a month (in season) .. then.. Find a place we love and keep it there seasonally (taking a trip a few times a year)

Have a place in FL (The Great Outdoors RV) going to bring it there for the cold New York winters.....

Alright... that's my story ....I'm looking forward to exploring the forum as I have been lurking and learning... so far I have seen really great people helping each other out... Thank you.. because I have learned soooooooo much in the few weeks from reading.

How everyone has happy holidays!

Sincerely,
Grant Family

Thumbs up

Hawk, maybe you might want to make a correction on that "propane tank in the camper" statement. This is a rough crowd here where safety is concerned and that is a no-no from the word go. Quick change your mind and put it somewhere else.
