Wet steps

Today I drilled drain holes in my steps as they sure do collect water puddles when it rains! Now my pooch won't have wet paws when she comes in and jumps on me

Hard to tell from the photos but it appears as though you drilled the holes on the high ridges rather than the lower part of the tread...????? Seems to me that water would collect in the lower, flat part of the tread and not on the ridges. But you never get any rain where you live anyway ........do you?

One of those opticle illusions I think. I see it as the treads are high and the lower troughs are where the holes are, you do have to look at it a couple times.

Great tip. It rained today and I noticed the same problem. Guess I need to grab my drill...

I just looked @ the pics and they're a little deceiving I drilled them on the trough and not the whale
As the holes will rust I'm going to prime them and spray the treads with a non slip coating......just waiting for the rain/shine to stop

I did the same thing ,but now I have the step carpet covers on them to try and keep the dirt and grime out,Works pretty good.
