As for the problem with not been able to get grease in the bushings I took a flat file and made a grove for the grease to flow, works great.
I also wondered how effective it is to force grease out of one hole and depend on pressure and movement to distribute it along the length of the bolt, since there is still some pressure on the side of the bolt. When I install mine, I'm thinking that a Dremel tool with a 1/16" or so abrasive wheel would be an easy way to cut a groove along the entire length of the bolt. A groove that goes the length of the bolt and goes through the grease hole should do the trick. Checking the zerks before installation is also a good idea.

Don't know, but when I grease ours, grease comes out from both ends and is spread around the entire ends of the bushings behind the links. I only had one bolt, that from new, couldn't get grease in it. After about 6,000 miles, was finally able to push grease into it. We're probably over 15,000 now and all the parts take grease just fine. If you were to cut a groove into the bolt, would you make a straight groove, or maybe a spiral groove to get the grease all the way around?

If everything goes as planned I'll be doing the install tomorrow. I'll try to take some pics.

I'm thinking a straight groove down the length of the bolt should be enough to get the grease along the entire length. Then the rotating movement of the bolt in the sleeve should distribute it. It may not even be necessary, it was just thinking out loud.

Does anyone know if any grease gets to the outside of the bushing? Between the spring and bushing. I wonder how that side will hold up?

There should not be any movement on that side, it should only move on the bolt.

Well install completed. It took 7 hours which includes a long lunch and trip to Home Depot.

The first side, drivers side, was done in about 2 1/2 hours. Everything came off and back on easy. My torque wrench died so I had to do the Home Depot trip for a new one.

THE passenger side was a pita. It was hard lining everything up but with a lot of work we got it done. Much harder than the first side.

Now I need to take it out for a trip.

Sorry no pics. I got way to greasy and didn't want to touch my phone.

Halfprice, I installed my kit two weeks ago and also had my torque wrench die too! My low $ duracraft Farm and Fleet wrench had served me well up until then.... Good thing they come with a life time warranty, made for a quick trip to the site to exchange. Took me about 3 1/2 hours worth the trip for the new wrench.
