Factory bumpers can hardly hold the poop tube let alone anything mounted to them. Cut it off and have a good welder fab one up from 3/16 wall box tubing and 3/16 wall 2x4 rectangle tube welded directly to the frame with at least a 24 inch overlap.

last year I posted pictures of how to reinforce the bumper. search under my threads for rear bumper that will not fail. I did this upgrade because the original and the replacement bumper both failed, since I did the reinforcement the trailer has travelled over 12,000KM with no problems. Also keep an eye on the 2 L brackets that hold up the bumper when it's extended as they want to spread apart
